This blog is for anyone who is looking for activities to do with young children in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.

An almost frightening lack of ability in the crafting area forced me ‘outsource’ fun things to do with my kids. Fortunately, I live in a community with more than enough to keep my family busy.

I started keeping a big binder of things to do around town with my kids, and began sharing the information with my friends. In a single day, I was asked by six different people to start “a website or something” with this information. As “Finding Stuff” is an unusual talent and doesn’t look good on a resume, I decided it was time to do it.

Enjoy Big Binder! Please leave a comment when you visit – it lets me know you’re out there!

If you would like to recieve updates from Big Binder, choose email or RSS feed in the upper right hand corner of this page.

Thank you for taking a look in the Big Binder!

I am so excited for you! I think we should start a snobby exclusive blog club where we talk about how those who blog are superior to those who don’t. We could get hot pink jackets with “Blogger Chicks” on it. Anyone with me…anyone?
PS. thanks for putting me on your blogroll.

Caught you blog, as the name of my organization came up in one about the Grand River Clean Up.

You’re involvement with your kids is commendable. Exposing them to environmental stewardship will reap rewards for your lifetime and theirs. Thanks for participating in a WMEAC event… and then publicizing your great experience.

  4. You know I love visiting you here! I’m taggin you with a meme!

  5. Wow…I am so happy to have found this site. Something geared right to where I live. I have already bookmarked you.

  6. Great to find another local blogger! I added your feed to my list, just in time for ideas this summer to do with the kids. Thanks!

  7. I have a friend who is visiting ALL the Harvest Trails sites and taking notes with her 4yo. I tell her she should send you the results and do a “guest post”. I hope she does!

I also wanted to share with you a similar site from Detroit – http://www.DetroitMommies.com. They’re pretty big, and they’re discussing trying to replicate the idea over in GR. You’re kind of doing what they do, so I thought you might want to be a contact person for them and in on the ground floor if they branch out to our side of the state. If you do contact them, I’d appreciate if you’d tell them I sent you – I’m hoping to work with them if they come this way, too!

I found you through Kelly the Kitchen Kop, by the way. Great stuff here!

  9. Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out. This is good…thanks for sharing

I don’t live in Michigan, but accidentally found your blog when I clicked a pic of Jason Bateman. Yes, he is hot. In the same moment I saw that pic and read something you wrote about Blueman Group (been a fan for nearly 20 years) and saw the kid-related stuff (mom of 2) and thought, “Wow, I like this person!” So, I thought I’d let you know I was here. 🙂 Hi from Oh!
