Hot Town, Summer in the City

mpj042855700001.jpgEach Friday I will feature something I love in Grand Rapids.  Naturally, it will be an activity or event you can do with children.

Today, I have compiled a list of the many opportunities we have to swim and splash around outside during the summer.

The City of Grand Rapids offers splash pads, wading pools, and swimming pools.    Click on the link and go to page 3 for hours and locations; there are several.

This year, generous donors teamed together to make sure that all children have access and admission for kids is free.

Kentwood opened a Splash Pad at Veteran’s Park this year.  Admission is free! Click the link and go to page 23 for more information.

Wyoming has also opened a Splash Pad this year.  Click on the link and go to page 5 for the details.

Millenium Park has both a beach and a splash pad.

Have fun, and stay cool!
